Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet low-sodium taco seasoning 1.25-ounce packet recommended
  • 1 jar your favorite salsa 16-ounce jar

Instructions
 

  • Place chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker. Sprinkle taco seasoning over the chicken and pour salsa on top.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  • Just before serving, use two forks to shred the chicken and stir everything together.
  • Serve immediately with optional toppings as desired.

Notes

Some brands of taco seasoning come in 1-ounce packets; that works too but may have a milder flavor. Consider reduced-sodium options for health benefits.
